2014 Suzuki V-Strom

The Suzuki V-Strom has just been released, adding yet another competitive adventure bike into the market.
The V-Stom, as its name would hint towards, is powered by a V-twin with a capacity of 1,037cc providing 99hp and 103nm of torque.

Also Suzuki is keeping with the times by incorporating ABS and traction control, two big selling points for the adventure market.

The powerplant is loosely related to that of the TL100S and TL1000R however Suzuki have changed the pistons, cylinders, cylinder heads, crankshaft, conrods, radiator and clutch. he engine now has a 100mm bore.

Another main selling point for the V-Strom is its claimed consumption, ion a full tank (19.6 litres) you can expect a range of 480km.

The 19inch front wheel and overall lightweight design should also ensure the V-Strom is able to tackle dirt roads and sandy conditions fairly easily.

No word from Suzuki SA on prices however it is expected to cost $12, 000 in the States.

Sales are expected to be strong for this new adventure bike which will give the other adventure bikes in the market a run for their money.
