400mph Triumph

The Triumph powered Castrol Rocket will aim to break the division C record by reaching 400 mph or 643 kmh. The previous record stands at 376.156 mph and was set by Rocky Robinson in the Ack Attack.

The Castrol Rocket is powered by two turbo-charged (Garret GT2879R ball bearing) Triumph rocket III engines with a power output estimated at over 1000 bhp.

Driven by Jason DiSalvo, the team will attempt to break the world record at the Bonneville salt flats, however the previous record holders will also be attempting to break their own record so the competition is tough.

I'm just glad i'm not in that cockpit, although I am sure it will be impressive to watch.
